Same here. We're chalking it up more to ignorance of our resources more than either respect or an understanding of what they'd be getting into. Since they certainly don't seem to be displaying the latter in general.

Attacking the Nexus is one tried and true way to get the locals to band together and strike back-- as I'm sure you've witnessed it before as well. Even with their giant robots, they have no idea what stupidity they've displayed.
